Benefits Of Rooting Android Devices And How To Root Without Computer

Android Root Benefits $ Howto

To root or not to root? It's a question that most people don't ever ask themselves, because Android devices are powerful and customizable from the get-go, and rooting can be risky.

But it's not that risky. And if you want to really unlock the full potential of your device—if you want to be able to control everything, backup everything, customize everything, and do all sorts of fun things like install custom ROMs and get Android Lollipop ahead of the pack—you'll need to root your phone.

I'm not saying you have to root your Android device…but I am saying you might be a goody two-shoes if you don't.

Benefits of Rooting Android Devices

Automate everything

Powerful root-only apps like Tasker can turn your dream of a super-smartphone into a reality. Tasker uses the "if this, then that" mentality to make your phone a genius -- for example, you can use Tasker to automatically silence your phone at night, turn on your Wi-Fi when you're at home, or open up an app when you connect to your car's Bluetooth.

Lollipop, here I come!

Android phone makers have a habit of not releasing updates in a timely manner. Or at all, sometimes. So why are you still waiting for the latest OS when you could simply root your phone and get it right now? Patience is for people who don't know how to root.

Faster than the speed of…your CPU

Contrary to what the phone-makers want you to believe, your Android device could definitely be faster. And you can take speed matters into your own hands with apps like SetCPU, which is only available after you root. What's a little battery life lost when you have more power?

Better battery life

You know how you can overclock your device's CPU for ultra-speedy app-switching (who doesn't want to multitask like Sonic the Hedgehog)? Well you can also use SetCPU to underclock, or slow down, your CPU for when you need that extra 29 minutes of battery life.

Bye-bye, bloatware

Nuking factory-installed bloatware beats disabling it any day.

Really, really back up your stuff

OK, so Google does a pretty good job of keeping your mail, contacts, calendar, apps, and other Google-y things in order. But if you want to truly backup everything, as in, if you want to take a literal snapshot of your device and stick it somewhere safe, you'll need the root-onlyTitanium Backup. Satisfy your hoarding tendencies!

Customize all the things!

Android is pretty customizable, even without rooting your phone. But with a root you can literally customize everything. Vibration strength? Precise screen color calibration? Gesture control? There's a (root-only) app for that.

Store apps wherever the hell you want to

Use a root-only app like FolderMount to store apps, not just files, on your microSD card. Now your device has infinite (read: 128GB) of real usable storage!

Rooting your Android Device gives you Super User access for your mobile by rooting your android device even you can uninstall built-in apps, now i am going to show you 2 easy ways to root your android device easily without computer.

How to set your Pendrive as your password protector for PC

If you prevent access to your computer with just a password, you are missing out on an alternate (and more secure) way to lock down your computer.

Predator, a free Windows program, turns your USB drive into a key that locks your computer when it's removed. To unlock your computer, you'll have to plug the USB drive back in. (Talk about having secret-agent-style security.)

Anyone who attempts to access your computer without the USB flash drive will be hit with an epic "Access Denied" message. To get started, follow this guide:

Step 1: Download and install Predator.

Step 2: Once Predator launches, plug in your USB flash drive. None of the contents of the drive will be deleted or altered in any way, so feel free to use your primary thumbdrive.

When you insert the drive, a dialog box will appear asking you to create a password. Click OK to continue.

Step 3: In the Preferences window, take note of a few key settings. First, enter a secure, unique password in the "New password" field. If you lose your USB drive, you'll use it to unlock your computer.

If you'd like, you can check the Always Required box and you'll be asked to enter the password each time you use your thumbdrive to unlock your PC.

Finally, in the section under Flash Drives, ensure that the correct USB flash drive is selected. When you're done, click "Create key" and then OK.

Step 4: Predator will exit. When it does, click the Predator icon in the taskbar to restart the program. A few seconds later, the icon will turn green, alerting you that Predator is running.

Every 30 seconds, Predator will check to see that your USB drive is plugged in. If it isn't, your computer will dim and lock down.

What is Ip Address and How to Find IP Address?

You might have come across this term very often, haven’t you! Every machine on the Internet has a unique identifying number, called an IP Address. A typical IP address looks like this:
216.27.61.137

What is the use of IP Address?

Let me clear this concept with the help of an example, if you want someone to visit your place what do you do? Tell that person your address don’t you. Similarly what will you do if you want to reach someone over a similar or different network over a computer system. You need some mechanism to address difference computers so that they can communicate with each other or information sharing is possible between two computers. To make this information sharing over computers possible, we need IP Address.
An IP address is just like an online address of a computer. It is used to refer to a computer over a network which makes it possible to address that computer uniquely over the network
To make it easier for us humans to remember, IP addresses are normally expressed in decimal format as a “dotted decimal number” like the one above. But computers communicate in binary form. Look at the same IP address in binary:
11011000.00011011.00111101.10001001
The four numbers in an IP address are called octets, because they each have eight positions when viewed in binary form. If you add all the positions together, you get 32, which is why IP addresses are considered 32-bit numbers. Since each of the eight positions can have two different states (1 or 0) the total number of possible combinations per octet is 28 or 256. So each octet can contain any value between 0 and 255. Combine the four octets and you get 232 or a possible 4,294,967,296 unique values!
Out of the almost 4.3 billion possible combinations, certain values are restricted from use as typical IP addresses. For example, the IP address 0.0.0.0 is reserved for the default network and the address 255.255.255.255 is used for broadcasts.

Now you might be thinking – What is my Ip Address.
Finding your IP address is really simple, just visit http://whatismyip.com and it will display your IP address along with the other important information like your geographic location, Internet provider etc.

Find the Person Behind an Email Address

You  have received an email from a person with whom you have never interacted earlier and thus, before you take the conversation forward, you would like to do some research on the Internet to know more about that person. How do you do this without directly asking the other person?
Google is the most obvious place for performing reverse email lookups (just Google for the email address) but if that person doesn’t have a website or if they have never used their email address on public forums, Google will be of little help.
No worries. If you only know the email address of a person and nothing more, here are some ways that may help you uncover the identity of that unknown email sender.

How to do Reverse Email Search

#1. Find the sender’s location

Open the header of the email message and look for lines that say “Received: from” and are followed by an IP address in square brackets. If there are multiple entries, use the IP address mentioned in the last entry.

Now paste the IP address in this trace route tool and you should get a fairly good idea about the approximate location of the email sender.
#2. Reverse email search with Facebook
Facebook has a billion users and the likelihood is therefore high that the sender may also have a profile on Facebook.
Unlike LinkedIn and most other social networks, Facebook lets you search users by email address so that should make your job simpler. Just paste the email address of the person into the search box and Facebook will instantly tell you if a profile exists with that email address or not.
If you are able to locate that person on Facebook, download the profile picture and then upload it to Google Images (click the camera icon in the search box). This acts as a reverse image search engine so you can locate his other social profiles where he may have used the same picture.
#3. Check all the other Social Networks
You can use a service like Knowem to quickly determine if a profile with a particular username exists in any of the social networks.
If the email address of the sender is something like green_peas@hotmail.com, there’s a probability that he or she may have created accounts of some other social network using the same alias “green_peas” – put that in knowem.com to confirm.
Gmail users can install the Rapportive add-on and find the Twitter and LinkedIn profiles associated with an email address, if any of them exist. For details, see this tutorial on how to guess someone’s email address.
#4. People Search
Reverse Email Search
Finally, if none of the above tricks work, you should try a people search service like Pipl and Spokeo – both services let you perform reverse email lookups but Spokeo has a more comprehensive database than Pipl.
Other than regular web documents, Spoke also scans social networks and even the whois information of domain names to find any bit of information associated with an email address. However, some of the results returned by Spokeo are only available to subscribers.

What Is MD5 and How To Use It

In this post I will explain you about one of my favorite and interesting cryptographic algorithm called MD5 (Message-Digest algorithm 5). This algorithm is mainly used to perform file integrity checks under most circumstances. Here I will not jump into the technical aspects of this algorithm, rather will tell you about how to make use of this algorithm in your daily life. Before I tell you about how to use MD5, I would like to share one of my recent experience which made me start using MD5 algorithm.
A MD5 hash is nothing but a 32 digit hexadicimal number which can be something as follows
A Sample MD5 Hash-

e4d909c290d0fb1ca068ffaddf22cbd0

This hash is unique for every file irrespective of it’s size and type. That means two .exe files with the same size will not have the same MD5 hash even though they are of same type and size. So MD5 hash can be used to uniquely identify a file.

How to use MD5 Hash to check the Integrity of Files?

Suppose you have a file called backup.tar on your server. Before you download, you need to generate MD5 hash for this file on your server. To do so use the following command.
For UNIX:
md5sum backup.tar

When you hit ENTER you’ll see something as follows
e4d909c290d0fb1ca068ffaddf22cbd0

This is the MD5 hash for the file backup.tar. After you download this file onto your PC, you can cross check it’s integrity by again re-generating MD5 hash for the downloaded file. If both the hash matches then it means that the file is perfect. Otherwise it means that the file is corrupt. To generate the MD5 hash for the downloaded file on your Windows PC use the following freeware tool

SX MD5 HASH Generator (Click on the link to download)
I hope you like this post. For further doubts and clarifications please pass your comments. Cheers!
